During Skyrim's Main Quest you're given the 3 words and knowledge to perform the shout " Clear Sky " which is required to reach the Throat of the World where Paarthurnax is.

Does the shout only work in certain areas? And since the name of the place is Winterhold, does it always have to be snowing? Not mentioned in any of the previous answers is that this is an identified bug, at least by the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch team.

Identified as bug Clear Skies does not clear the weather in Winterhold despite all indications it should do so. Bug There are other things going on in Winterhold that could be affecting the weather. Actually, if you use the shout inside the Courtyard of the college, the weather clears and stays clear as long as you don't step out of college grounds Weather turns back to snow almost as soon as you step back on the bridge to Winterhold Might be linked to the fact that the town was destroyed by the elements while the college hardly suffered.

The most likely explanation is that the town is indeed cursed, and the college warded against the curse somehow, and the Thu'um is not strong enough to overcome the curse without the help of the college's wards. If you go to the big blue mana pool before the entrance to the Hall of Elements, get in it and shout up, the sky will clear for a bit but then go back to snowing.

Don't use all three words, use the first one with a short shout then right when the Cooldown is up use it again Works everytime Use the shout at the college. The town may not be high enough altitude for your shout to reach the sky to clear it.

Sign up to join this community. Restarting the game might help. I learn all 3 words of the Clear Skies shout and I receive the knowledge from the greybeard. When I check the tab menu, it indeed shows that I have all 3 words of the shout unlocked. I go up to the archway and face the blizzard, then I hold down the shout key and yell all 3 words of the Clear Skies shout. Skyrim gives me a quest completed message for clearing the blizzard and tells me to go see Paarthurnax.

However, despite all of this, the blizzard remains blocking the archway. I have tried to reload previous saves to no avail. Any ideas? Devs; bugfix? I wouldnt want to restart the entire game bc of this I have the exact same problem here. Even if I climb past that last blizzard the quest doesn't continue no Paartunax and so on.

Is there any way to repair this? I am willing to use the console for this. Greetings Juy Juka. No need for the clear sky shout. Did this to do a side quest before starting the main quest. Also can use console TCL. Just fly up the side. After you get to the top and it shows up on your map. Use FT to get to the top after that.. As I mentioned earilier - no Paarthurnax, not able to continue the Main Quest. ShowQuestTargets Player. What stage is it at?

I have several save-files with different quest stages for MQ I have one with stage 86 aka. Also see if the stages for this quest has changed with the last updates.
