And has any1 used delco 5w30 before? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options Is there any brand specific that people usually go for. Mobil 1, castrol magnatec are the ones I use. I know others use whatever is on offer, see what others say. Try and get a face lift gen7, as some pre face lift suffer from high oil use and finally death rattle.

So for best results get 03 and newer VVTL-i is the one you really wont, on any year there fine, but lift bolts in the engine can brake they cost 35p each and there is two of them, take about an hour to fit and anyone with a socket set can do it.

In any case a celica is a good and fun to drive and generally very reliable Would definitely look for a version rather than the if you can. An '02 BHP version has been purchased at handy money, wouldn't have been my first choice but she loves it. Seems to be a good one, everything is working as it should be.

Good fun to drive, nice steering and reasonably torquey motor, good mpg and jap reliability - whats not to like? Wheels on mine were refurbed by the selling dealer as they looked like they had just come out of the sea. Yeah, hers needs bootlid struts too!

Bootlid only stays half way up. I work in a scrappy and theres a full crate of them so hopefully I'll find something similar for free. I have not had the problem myself it seams very hit and miss, if you look at the celica uk club forum lots of people have guides etc to fix the problem Look forward to what you think of the 7th gen celica.
